CHA has an excellent maintenance department that maintains 157 units and the property grounds on a daily basis.

Routine Work Orders
Routine and emergency work orders during regular office hours can be submitted by calling (812) 378-0005 extension 29.
Routine work orders after regular office hours can be submitted by calling (812) 378-0005 extension 29 or by emailing email@example.com. Please leave your first and last name; full address; and a detailed description of the work order. Routine work orders include items such as torn screens, light bulb changes, broken blinds, etc.
Emergency Work Orders
After hour emergency work orders can be submitted by calling (812) 371-8288. If you are unsure whether a work order is an emergency, please call the on-call maintenance technician. We will determine if the work order is an emergency or urgent item.
Emergency and urgent work orders include (but are not limited to):
- No heat (only if outside temperature is below 50 degrees)
- No air conditioning (only if outside temperature is above 75 degrees)
- Refrigerator/Freezer not working
- No hot water
- Loss of power
- Exposed electrical line
- Smell of natural gas/broken gas lines
- Broken water pipes
- Loose ceiling
- Inability to lock or unlock a door
- Toilet not working (only if there is 1 toilet in unit)
If you are in need of emergency personnel (fire, police, ambulance) call 911 first, then notify the on-call maintenance technician.
For gas leaks, contact Vectren first by calling 1 (800) 227-1376, then notify the on-call maintenance technician.
For loss of power or power lines down, contact Duke Energy first by calling 1 (800) 521-2232, then notify the on-call maintenance technician.
